Hastings Christian

Our Team

We currently employ two schools workers who both work Monday to Thursday (officially) in as many of the primary and secondary schools and academies as they can.

Peter Howarth
Schools Worker

My name is Peter and I moved to Hastings in September 2014 to help with the Holy Trinity Hastings church plant from Brighton, mainly to do Youth Work but also to help out with anything that needs doing. I studied in Brighton at Sussex Uni doing Psychology, which i loved and played a lot of Ultimate Frisbee which I loved even more! I can't wait for this role, mainly just the opportunity to talk to so many young people about my faith in Jesus, build relationships and hopefully have some fun in the process!
Lucy Skelton
Schools Work Team Leader

Hi I'm Lucy and I started working for the Trust in 2008 after graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a BA degree in Youth and Community work and Applied Theology. I also qualified with a JNC (professional standard youth work qualification). I love working for the Trust and am driven by my passion to help children and young people have a clear understanding of the Christian faith and its implications for life. One of my favourite activities that we run in schools is Prayer and Refelction Spaces, I love the creativity that is involved and watching a "normal room" being turned into a room of wonder and hearing the children take a breath as they walk in for the first time always makes me smile.
