Hastings Christian

Our History

Hastings Christian Trust employed their first schools' worker in September 2001. Since then they have worked hard to serve the primary and secondary schools within Hastings and St Leonards with Assemblies/Acts of Collective Worship, R.E and Citizenship lessons, lunch-time and after-school clubs, Year 6 transition and even our latest venture, Prayer Spaces.

As a Trust we are always looking for new ways of providing resources to schools and we have lots of plans and ideas to further support schools with their Spriritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development. The work we do comes from a Christian perspective, but it is not exclusively accessible to children or young people from a Christian background.

All our work is financially supported by local churches and their members who sustain the work through their giving. As a registered charity we are accountable to the Charity Commission for our accounts and workings. As part of our set up we hold General Council meetings (which have an event title of Showcase) where we keep our supporters informed about our work and how they can continue to support it.
